The grander implication of the otherwise comical production of Freaky Friday incorporates a strong philosophical underpinning that addresses the global ill of multicultural intolerance. Like two feuding nations, mother Tess and daughter Anna cannot understand why the other has such objectionable values, unacceptable social networks and insufferable taste in just about everything.
