Abstract: 3 pages in length. Habitat is only as strong as its least dangerous resistance; for estuarine benthic habitats, the individual and combined components of disturbance and predation can manifest in severe organism compromise. Some of the most harmful aspects are those brought about by man, however, even some seemingly natural - yet detrimental - occurrences are still to some degree instigated by human behavior. As with virtually all forms of life, it becomes the survival of the fittest when predation and/or disturbance alters an estuarine benthic habitat. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
