Spaceships and Cultures

Abstract: This 5 page paper looks at three movie spaceships, the Enterprise (First Contact), the Nostromo (Alien), and the Nebuchadnezzar (The Matrix) and discusses what they tell us about the people who build and fly them; what role they play in the story; what they tell us about the world in which they exist; and how the way they are filmed determines some of our feelings about them.
