Shiatsu

Abstract: A 19 page research paper that explores the topic of shiatsu, which means literally "finger" (shi) and "pressure" (atsu) and is rather like acupuncture, but without the needles (Klein 46). It is a Japanese word that describes a contemporary therapy that has its roots in Oriental traditional medicine. The writer explores what shiatsu is; its basic principles and philosophy; and what constitutes its practice. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
