Abstract: 6 pages in length. One of the most obvious differences between Florence, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia is that Atlanta is far more popular and recognizable by name alone. The extent to which Atlanta's reputation shadows that of its Alabama counterpart is both grand and far-reaching; that Florence strives to reach the tourism and status level Atlanta has attained speaks to the tremendous value of reputation.
