Metropolis/ anime version

Abstract: An 8 page review of Japanese director Rintaro's animated film Metropolis. The writer particularly discusses the symbolic significance and uses of the two media that were used to compose the film -- 2d traditional cel animation for the people and 3d computer generated animation for the backgrounds and settings.
