Jesse James / Myth vs. Reality

Abstract: A 5 page research paper which examines the outlaw life of Jesse James and his brother Frank who robbed countless banks and trains in the Old West. The writer demonstrates how the political atmosphere of the time contributed significantly to the yellow journalism accounts of James, which pictured him as a modern day knight, or at least the last Confederate hero of the Civil War.
