The Role of the Federal Government in Environmental Regulation

Abstract: A 5 page evaluation of the role of the federal government in protecting our natural resources. This question addresses the question of just how well designed is our government in the performance of this function. The author contends that while the government may at times appear inept in this regard, it has had a tremendous impact on environmental policy. The point is presented that our government functions just the way that it was intended to in that it reflects all of the viewpoints surrounding an issue, not just those of the most politically influential.
