ENVIRONMENTAL TAXES AND IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Abstract: This paper discusses the trend of eco-taxation, by which municipalities and federal governments put taxes on waste and use of dangerous fuels. The paper argues that such methods, while helpful in encouraging use of recycling and use of cleaner energy, is not effective on its own as a deterrent to pollution. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
