David Harris/Our War

Abstract: A 5 page summation and analysis of Harris' book on the Vietnam War. David Harris was one of the most famous leaders of student protests against the draft during the Vietnam War. The perfect all-American boy, Harris was student body president at Stanford University, and before that, he was Fresno High's "Boy of the Year." Yet, when the Vietnam War started taking the lives of young Americans, Harris was in the forefront of those opposing the war. His book, Our War, is primarily a memoir. He mixes personal anecdotes with general observations about the US involvement in Southeast Asia. No additional sources cited.
