THE FILM GENRES OF EAST IS EAST AND LOCK, STOCK

Abstract: This paper examines the two film genres that classify two British films, East is East and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The paper discusses the broad classification in which they were placed (comedy and ganster, respectively) and examines how both films are actually black comedies, with some overlap into other genres. The paper also discusses how the genre of comedy can be divided into even further genres. Bibiolography lists 4 sources.
