Abstract: The gothic revival architects started with the principles of the earlier period and expanded on them in order to develop a unique and functional style appropriate for the industrialized era. This 5 page paper asserts that the primary difference between the earlier era of design and the later is the use of different materials and the effects that are allowed because of those differences.
