Protection From HIV In Prison

Abstract: HIV/AIDS is increasing at a disproportionate rate to that of the general population and yet there remains barriers to instituting preventative programs that go beyond being educational such as providing condoms, needles and bleaching kits. This 8 page paper argues that the reasons for the lack of authorization can be described as denial (there is not a problem so why institute a 'solution'); security and public opinion.
