The Bias of the State Towards Cultural Institutions

Abstract: This 5 page paper consider the way in which traditional cultural institutions, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum are given more support, both general and financial in preference to the modern icons of popular culture and entertainment. The paper argues that there are many reasons for this including the governments role of protecting the heritage of the nation and its paternal attitude. The bibliography cites 3 sources.
