Spatial Strategies Of Film Noir

Abstract: 6 pages in length. The very nature of film noir is to incorporate significant visual contrasts while at the same time portraying the central character as the 'anti-hero,' creating his typically flawed and morally imperfect persona as such that it still manages to win the audience's sympathy. Another critical element of film noir is the spatial components that provide movies with their larger-than-life feel. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
