Cragside; A Singular House of the Victorian Age

Abstract: This 11 page paper considers the national Trust owned building of Cragside in Rothbury, Northumberland. This building was an innovative and unusual building, it was the first building to have the entire house lit by hydro-electric power, along with central heating, hot and cold running water, a Turkish bath, and even fire alarms. Built in 1870
