The Tempest and Racism in its Staging

Abstract: A 6 page research paper in which the writer examines Shakespeare's play, looking at the various instances of racism that inherently exist in its casting. A number of good examples are given and some mention is made of other productions of The Tempest -- and how modern directors have attempted to 'go around' this element of racism. Bibliography cites 7 sources.
