Abstract: This 10 page research paper examines the way in which the popular twentieth-century philosophy, existentialism, and its preoccupation with the human condition was explored in world cinema. Specifically discussed are Akira Kurosawa's 1952 film, Ikiru, and Ingmar Bergman's 1957 film, Wild Strawberries. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
