Huey P. Long; Hero or Villain?

Abstract: This 5 page paper looks at the book by Glen Jeansonne; Messiah of the Masses: Huey P. Long and the Great Depression" in order to consider the life of this controversial man. The paper looks at the man who fought for the underprivileged by way of health and educational provision as well as employment rights, but his methods were dictatorial and autocratic. His actions did much good, but had he not been assassinated the cost may have been than society of the time recognised. The bibliography sites one source.
