Strategic Planning for the National Endowment for the Arts

Abstract: 12 pages in length. The National Endowment for the Arts is a non-profit organization established to further the promotion of art and artists for the general public. Their strategic planning for funding could use some improvement, and two texts which are extremely helpful in this area are Strategic Management for Non-Profit Organizations: Theory and Cases, by Sharon M. Oster and Strategic Planning for Public and Non-Profit Organizations by John M. Bryson. These are two of the best books for insight to the strategic planning and funding for non-profit organizations and this paper discusses these methods. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
