Urban Art

Abstract: Urban Art is an ambiguous concept, at least in the mind of many art historians. The term implies art for and or about the urban setting. This 5 page paper argues that urban art is creative expression that directly confronts the urbanization of the modern era and examines the modern art of Robert Rauschenberg in terms of modernity and his reflection of the 'urban' culture.
