Homer/Themes in the Iliad

Abstract: A 3 page analysis of Homer's epic poem, 'The Iliad.' The writer demonstrates that while the vast majority of the poem deals with battles and fighting, the 'Iliad' also relates details of life within the city of Troy. There are instances that relate the concerns that occupied the Greek mind, as well as episodes that demonstrate the pain and heartbreak involved in fulfilling one's duty to the state.
