Abstract: Interactions between plants and animals are often categorized as antagonistic or mutualistic. In many ways, this is a fair dichotomy, with the needs of the pair serving each other. The plant needs to be fertilized and the animal can offer that service. The problem arises when the herbivore or human spreads disease through the process of fertilization. Yet, most interactions between plants and humans rely on this mutualistic process. 4 references. jvPlntMA.rtf
