Abstract: (6 pp) The legend goes that when Abraham Lincoln met diminutive Harriet Beecher Stowe, he said to her, "Ah - you are the little lady that started the "great war." Certainly that is not quite the truth but Stowe's book did have a great influence on the events of the time. This discussion will cover various parts of the novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, including examining an external instructor provided literary critique.
